Hello fellow editors! I am the sitting bureaucrat Dino, or on the wiki known as CaptainScratch. As many of you are probably aware, I have been with the wiki since late 2019, joining the official editor team in March 2020, and because bureaucrat earlier this year also in March.
Since I've became bureaucrat, I'd like to reflect on some recent events in the year's history for this year.
Note: This is going to be long. You've been warned.
─────────────────────────────────────
At the turn of the year with 2021 beginning, we started with a humble staff. Rowan was the acting bureaucrat, while myself and Cobra were his deputies as both administrators. Only other two active staff members to my knowledge were Battlefield and Lenco. Max had joined the team as an administrator (which he still to this day) as apart of a plan to expand the team.
After a minor vandal attack, resident editor Legoman helped clean up the vandalism all by himself without having the power of rollback. This along with his activity gave him an invitation to join the team as a mod. He has now became a senior moderator at the wiki.
Fast forward a small bit and we have concluded our legend inductions for 2020 and hired former CPAH EP Zambi to become a content mod. The wiki also witnessed Lego reach 1st place on the editor leaderboard.
Little happened since, although as Rowan intended to step down from active service, the torch was passed to me to become the next Wiki bureaucrat. Although there were from concerns from Flen, I can assure you he has full confidence in the newer administration nowadays.
Since then a lot has happened. A new front page, new staff roles, a Wiki Discord, a new pool of staff members (Lartpower, Df, Flav, Sidie, and Cabin), newer Wiki graphics, and general revival and interest in editing on the Wiki again.
I am so proud of our progress so far, and with this being said, I'd like to announce some plans going forward. Nothing radical. Moreover it is more of goals the plan I hope to see the Wiki reach in the coming months under this new bureaucracy.

Editing Contest:
Currently we have an abundance of stub pages and really no pages for significant figures. This is why I'm introduction the idea of an upcoming editing contest. How this contest will work is simple. For every stub you will revamp, you will get 2 points, and every new page you make will be 0.5.
Obviously, this doesn't mean spam stub pages to get points. Me and Rowan will be judging this contest and if we find any deliberate page spamming for points, you will earn a harsh deduction. Quantity is good, but quality is most important.
This contest will begin sometime in mid July, so keep your eyes peeled for that. We hope this contest will help us reach the milestone of 1,000 pages before the end of Summer!
2021 Legend Inductions:
As a tradition started back in 2019, the CPA Wiki will be doing a legend inductions in the winter. We, however, acknowledge the mistakes of our previous board in January.
For the upcoming legend inductions, we will respect the legend choices of CP Army Hub. I also look forward to negotiations to possibly broker an agreement with CP Army HQ. As Flen once noted, it is not the job of the Wiki to dictate legends, but to serve as an universal page of which legends are inducted.
As for our own board, it will be assembled in late November and will conduct business in December. If, however, CP Army Hub or CP Army HQ would like to work on an unified legends board with Wiki Bureaucracy delegation to prevent any problems, we will null our plans.
We will regardless respect what who they induct, but I hope we can work to solidify the inductions of legends so a Wikipedia isn't choosing it. We'll also be careful to choose who we pick this time around (as last time we invited some controversial and arguably biased picks to help with the vote). We have already began our candidate vetting process, and further details will come in November.
Quality Review Process:
I think I have mentioned this in other announcements, but similar to how the CP Fanon Wiki works, an quality review system will be coming soon in the fall. More details will come out closer to time.
History Pages Reform:
First things first, we intend to soon release a large codex of events in CPA history in an "unified history page". Obviously detailing the entire history of CPA on one page alone is not ideal, so this will be more of a list of redirects to the actual meat.
It's possibly we may make pages for specific years to detail all events in them but that is still for debate and review. We will make an actual follow-up to this by Rowan or me sometime in the late summer.
On a more serious, committed, and confirmed point, our own Wiki's history page will be getting a major revamp soon.
WikiProjects:
WikiProjects will soon be coming to the Wiki. No set announcement date is prepared yet but it is planned to come in the last week of June or first week of July. I'd like to see everyone hyped for that.
Staff Page Revamp:
A massive revamp to the staff page is coming. This will be a full index of all former staff members, along with a sub page dedicated to being a Staff Hall-of-Fame. The administrator list will be cleaned up, and some other touch-ups will be done.
Second Wave of Staff Applications:
Did you not get accepted for staff or forgot to submit an application? No worry! The Google Form will be cleaned out tonight so people can re-apply. Applications will always stay open, but we will be reviewing again on July 3rd. Applications can be found HERE.
Miscellaneous:
The Club Penguin Armies page will be getting a massive clean up in July or August so it is not so messy and so it's better to navigate. Additionally, new Wiki graphics will be prepared.
The Wiki has no plans as of now to migrate to FandomDesktop. But eventually Fandom will be updating all Wikis to have it. We will be preparing to do a massive theme and CSS overhaul for when that happens.
That is all I have to say. Keep up the good work, CPA Wiki!
