How would the Romans and ACP come to know of each other, and what led to their conflict? Nothing regarding this matter is found on either of their websites history page. I'm very curious about this matter.
What's on your mind?
In a discussion held with the current administrators and Bureaucrats on 19th April 2022, we are initiating the Wiki Revamp & Restoration project.
As of now, many of the wiki pages have content which are biased, one sided or a copy-paste from army websites. The aim of this project is to cancel out misinformation and have authentic, original content on the Wiki.
Furthermore, the project will begin its first phase starting 22nd April 2022 (Friday). We have over 1,000 pages, so this project is going to be a long one. By 22nd April 2022 (Friday), the administration will come up with a division of work and decide on list pages as per priorities. Obviously, our first aim will be the Army pages themselves, however, we will go through some inputs provided by previous administrations and our own to decide which pages need to be revamped first.
We'll be reaching out to community members and army news websites to help us in the project. If you'd like to become a part of this project, please join our discord server by clicking here.

Hello editors, and the CPA community.
I’m writing today to provide an update on the Legoman bias issues we raised a month or so ago. In the last few hours, members of the community have come forward to highlight even more problems with Legoman’s page that were overlooked during my edits. We are currently working on editing out as many of these issues as possible. But, the team were seriously considering just nuking the page and starting from scratch due to how many problems were found.
We’ll go into the details.
We were approached by various army leaders and informed that many of the medals on Legoman’s medal section were not actually awarded to him or had since been rescinded. This includes:
Templars of Club Penguin
Revenge Of The Alliance Medal
Conversations with Templars leadership found that Legoman doesn’t have any of these medals.
Water Vikings [WV]
SWAT War Victory Parade Medal
Golden Seas War Medal
Golden Seas War Victory Parade Medal
Whilst Legoman may have attended these events/wars, they were never recognised as official medals by WV.
Pjayo’s Retirement Event Medal
WV stopped recognising retirement events as medals in June 2021, so this medal is invalid.
Oops Entered Early Medal
March Madness Champions Medal
Tayto Champions Medal
Chunky Monkey Medal
Tri Poloski Medal
Chaos Clowns Medal
Flamez Golds Medal
All of Legoman’s Ice Warriors medals were revoked when he was banned from their server.
People's Imperial Confederation [PIC]
Operation: Templaria Medal
Fall Apart War Medal
War of Rusting Hope Medal
Challengers Cup 2 Grand Finalists Medal
Whilst Legoman attended these events/wars, they were never recognised as medals by PIC.
Army of Club Penguin [ACP]
Summer Awards 2021 Medal
There was no medal for attending the ACP Summer Awards.
Screenshots verifying all of the following medals are false is available on request but for the sake of reading ease, I’ve skipped them for this post.
Wars That Lego Didn’t Actually Lead
Dialogue with SWAT Leader Mare has revealed that despite his claims on his wiki page, Legoman had no leading involvement or any major involvement in the Eagre Foray, Serving Weapons and Toppings War [vs PZF] or the Flash Nemesis War [vs ACP]. Legoman wasn’t even a SWAT leader at any point during these three conflicts. Consequently, statements by Lego saying this are being changed.
Further False Claims
Conversations with other army leaders found that other statements made by Lego were also false.
A discussion with Fire Warriors leader Sweater found that virtually all of the claims on Legoman’s wiki page about his time with Fire Warriors were false. Sweater informed us that:
1. Legoman’s graphics aren’t used anywhere on the Fire Warriors website.
2. Legoman had no involvement in the contacting of Fire Warriors Creator Wwe09
3. Legoman had no influence on the max sizes, which didn’t even surpass 10 during Legoman’s time advising.
4. Legoman was not part of website creation.
This account directly contradicts the version of events Legoman portrays on his wiki page.
Our conversations with Mare also suggested that much of Lego’s SWAT history is also an untrue version of events, but we won’t go into further detail for the time being as further investigation is required.
Finally, Xing told us that Legoman’s practice of voice-chat leading did not become a “staple” of Templars.
Our investigation into Legoman’s edits has been one full of shock and horror for the wiki team. I’d like to thank everyone who contributed to our efforts to find the truth, particularly to Cabin who did the majority of the research whilst I was busy.
Our investigation is far from over. We still need to properly investigate Legoman’s claims about his time in SWAT. Furthermore, the damage of Legoman’s edits on other pages remains a serious problem. In total, we identified 35 pages affected by Lego’s biased editing and so far, only 4 of them have been fixed.
Hopefully, this is the last time a full wiki statement will be required on the Legoman bias controversy.
Thank you for your attention,
Rowan, Dino and Cabin
Good day fellow editors. I'd like to make a quick announcement for this week regarding some things.
Now that some time has passed, I felt it necessary to finally address the elephant in the room. This is hopefully the last time I'll need to talk about LEGOMAN.
After an investigation into his editing history over the past year, we have concluded that there is an unignorable level of bias across his editing.
I’d like to mention a similar real-life incident: In 1920, Kenesaw Mountain Landis banished multiple members of the Chicago White Sox from ever participating in baseball again. This was done to restore faith in the game following an investigation finding that they had committed match fixing.
Effectively immediately, LEGOMAN (known on the wiki as ‘UncleHamilton’) is permanently barred from rejoining the wiki content moderation team for multiple NPoV violations, unnecessary stubbing, and abusing his position as administrator for his own benefit and for not accurately recording CPA history. I will not be reverting my decision and will not be hearing any appeals in the future. We welcome Lego to continue to contribute to the wiki as a regular editor, but he will not have his administrative and rollback permissions restored.
I will be doing this early, but after consultation with Cobra and Rowan, I’d like to welcome an early induction to our staff hall of fame:
— Jayden (considered the best wiki staff team of the OG era, and one of the longest serving bureaucrats)
— DrFlen (brought the CPA wiki up to date with new anti-vandalism precautions and partnership with the CPA;TG league)
— Rowan Alden (longest serving active wiki bureaucrat, responsible for the wiki to become an actual respected body and saw its golden age)
— Cobra (helped massively documented 2017-19 CPA, including WW7 and advocacy for wiki representation in legend discussions)
— CaptainScratch (known for numerous quality-of-life reforms to the wiki and the formation of the first successful wiki discord during the golden age)
These 5 will be pioneers on the hall of fame, with a subordinate honor potentially being made for other numerous administrators. We will announce in December who will be inducted, but preparations will be prepared for that.
The CPA wiki is proud to announce a new initiative called “Everyone’s an Editor”. Being coined off of Huey Long’s “Every man’s a king”, this initiative will work on helping to promote better involvement with the editor community and help engage editors to edit without being staff.
A massive misconception editors have is that they need a content moderator to edit pages (and most of the time our staff team just makes self-pages). More information will be coming with the next announcement.
I will be delaying the launch of the new infoboxes until December while I still tinker with them.
Note Regarding Rowan Alden
Although thus was briefly touched on, I’d like to make a formal announcement. I will now be serving as the sole active bureaucrat following the retirement of Rowan. Rowan will temporarily be staying to help clean up NPoV biases, but intends on stepping down to guardian administrator afterwards. I’d like everyone to thank Rowan for his service.
That is all I wanted to make in this late-month announcement. Stay tuned for more announcements next month.
I wasn’t anticipating having to write another update post so soon, but there have been developments in the past 24 hours that I feel obliged to cover now rather than waiting until next month.
This is a very long post but it does contain important information, so please bear with it. Also, the images may be dodgy quality, you're welcome to DM me directly for a better quality version.
First, we have some news on WikiProjects. As previously discussed, progress on all 3 projects has been slow because our staff is very busy with other army commitments or with the [obviously more important] commitments real life brings. After some developments which I’ll get into shortly, Dino and I have decided to postpone the CPOAL and Army Media WikiProjects for the time being. As of now, our entire staff has been instructed to focus all efforts on the Article Restoration Project. We hope to finish this internally by the end of the year. From there, Dino will look at reopening Army Media.
The future of the CPOAL project is uncertain, again because of developments that came about last night after we had gone live with the monthly update.
This development has also resulted in action against Legoman, one of the wiki’s most infamous staff members who started out on the wiki with a joke page and worked his way up to Administrator. He was liked among wiki staff, including by me. His work on the wiki has been extensive. He holds 1st place on our badge leaderboards. He was until recently one of the wiki’s most trusted staff members. However, we made the decision to demote him to content moderator late last night after a series of events behind the scenes.
Some time ago, we announced internally that we would begin regular, unannounced reviews of staff edits. We intended to use this system if we suspected any staff members were falling into the trap of writing with bias, from which we could talk to the staff member and help them rectify the situation so that they’d understand how to avoid it in future.
After looking over Legoman’s wiki page [the serious page, not the joke page], I had some concerns and decided to review the page more thoroughly. I ended up spending more than 2 and a half hours editing the page. In the end, the changes I had made mostly happened because Legoman had portrayed an event in a way that looked favourable for him, either by emphasising his role in events [and by extension minimising the role other people played], glossing over his losses, etc.
Ultimately, it all boiled down to the fact that Legoman was attempting to embellish his own history. Anyone who’s heard of Legoman knows how badly he wants S/M Legend, and after discussion with Dino, we agreed his edits were a clear attempt to increase his chances. But, beyond this incident we weren’t aware of any other issues, so after giving him a lot of feedback on what not to do, it was decided we’d let the incident go with the warning that there would be demotions if it happened again. This was the overall note I gave Legoman on the subject:
Needless to say, it happened again.
Last night, we announced that we were declaring the WB vs VA war as World War VIII. As part of this, we had to go through all pages on the war and rename the war. This meant I finally came across the pages for the Western Bloc and Vengeance Alliance.
Throughout the war, Legoman has been largely inactive, ducking out of leading battles and attending battles for PIC. So, I was very surprised to be greeted with this:
After the amount of time I had spent editing Legoman’s page and giving him feedback, I was beyond shocked to see that I had been blatantly ignored. After being missing for a month, Legoman had inserted himself into the Vengeance Alliance page, despite having next-to-no involvement in the alliance due to his inactivity. I decided to investigate to confirm these suspicions and found that I was correct. The crest had been created barely half a week ago for a war that was more than a month old.
Vengeance Alliance has never used this symbol as a logo in any way to represent the Vengeance Alliance. For those curious, I was able to find three different flags and logos which could have been legitimately used instead for the Vengeance Alliance, such as the two different server icons the VA Discord server has used along with an additional logo that I received upon enquiry.
It was very clear that Legoman was again attempting to insert himself into the page to make it appear as if he contributed substantially to the alliance when he did not.
This discovery was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Lego’s blatant attempts to distort and manipulate the truth in his favour were now evident to us. Legoman received a series of messages from me making my frustration clear and, after consulting with Dino, we agreed to demote him to content moderator.
With that all being said, the situation should be clear now.
We are still dealing with the repercussions of this discovery. We decided to conduct a review of all of Legoman’s edits from the present day backwards. I’ve currently looked at all of his edits between July 2021 and today and identified 20 pages that are going to need work. It's impossible to say how many more I'll find as I search through his edits. I still have everything before July to sort through, dating back to Legoman’s original joke page in October of last year.
Legoman had been the leader of the CPOAL WikiProject. His dismissal led to us suspending the WikiProject, which prompted the changes announced at the start of this post.
We are still considering Legoman’s future with the wiki. We had kept him on as content moderator because we felt his past work shouldn’t be ignored or denied, but as we have now identified 20 pages on which Lego has made biased comments or similarly biased the page, this is uncertain now. It isn’t fair to say we’re keeping Lego on for his past work when his past work is just as biased as his recent edits have been. We’ll provide an update on this when we’ve made a decision.
That’s all we have to say for now. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by these changes, but it was necessary to protect our integrity as an organisation and to prevent any further bias.
Hopefully, the next time we have an update it’ll be on a much cheerier note.
Rowan and Dino
Hello editors! Welcome to the November update. We’ll get right into what’s new.
Dino is back!
Dino has recently returned to actively updating the CPA Wiki! He’s hard at work to add new features to make editing easier and has revamped the front page. A ton of other changes have also happened, including some other updated graphics, the return of message wall greetings for new editors [a feature lost after the FandomDesktop switch, we’re not there yet in making this work but should be soon]. He’s currently trying to add a new system for making editing summaries easier. More on this when it’s ready.
WikiProjects haven’t advanced a considerable deal in the past month. Research is still ongoing in the background for the Article Restoration Project. With Dino’s return, the Army Media project will hopefully start back up as well. Legoman is currently on break, as is the CPOAL project. We’re hoping that we can get back in the swing of things in the next few months once school and workloads ease up.
We’re also hoping to finally release the WIki Staff Hall of Fame in December. We’ll announce who has been inducted in the next monthly update.
Update regarding the VA vs WB War
We’ve kept aware of the currently ongoing alliance war between Vengeance Alliance and the Western Bloc [and the historical Red Dawn Alliance is in the mix as well!]. We’ve already been approached about whether we intend to declare it as a world war.
Ever since World War Rewritten last year, we’ve had in place a series of criteria to try and more objectively define world wars in the modern era. These criteria are:
Must have lasted for at least 2 weeks.
Must have involved a majority of the army community of the era.
Must have two or more opposing sides.
Must have a substantial impact on the army community/army relations/how armies work.
The induction of at least one Legend that year who was inducted at least partially because of the war.
These criteria were used to make a judgement on World War Rewritten. However, we found that despite the name given to it, WWR does not match these criteria. Whilst almost the entire non-CPOAL/CPAL community was involved and the war had some impact on the operation of Club Penguin Army Media [the media organisation which primarily reported on the war], we found that because of the war’s lack of longer-reaching impact and the fact the war only lasted for 4 days, we couldn’t class it as a world war.
With this in mind, we turn to the VA/RDA vs WB war.
The war has lasted for a month in total. A substantial number of armies are involved across the three alliances. There are two clear opposing sides.
We don’t yet know what impacts this war will have on the army community, but it is evident that the war has entirely changed army relations. It is almost certain that we could have new Legends inducted this year who may not have been inducted if not for the war.
Based on this, from now on the wiki will be provisionally referring to the war as World War VIII on all wiki pages as all 5 criteria are either met or it is believed they will be met. If it sticks, it will mark the first true world war the community has seen since 2018. We are welcome to alternative suggestions for naming the war should an alternate title come up as was the case for World War Rewritten back when it was considered a world war. In the meantime, however, we plan to get to work incorporating World War VIII into all related pages.
A Personal Note from Rowan
I'd like to take this chance to quietly announce that with Dino back I am starting to plan my final exit from the CPA Wiki. I intend to step down as bureaucrat at some point in January of next year.
I’ve tremendously enjoyed my time working on keeping the wiki running and protecting it since becoming the wiki’s sole active bureaucrat in early 2020, but the time is fast approaching where I step back for good and let Dino run the show again, as had been my intention at the start of the year. My interest in armies is nominal these days, and I’ve reached a point where I don’t enjoy running the wiki like I used to.
My current intention is to stay on as a bureaucrat until at least after the Legends inductions for this year have been settled, and then depart armies for good after that. The wiki brought me back several times, but without it, I’ll have no reason to remain here.
I don’t intend to go on about this and this is probably the last time I’ll discuss it until the day I actually retire. I’ve “retired” so many times in the past 2 years that the phrase “I’m retiring” has lost all meaning. I just want to leave and be done with it.
My thanks go to all of the brilliant staff who have worked alongside me since I first joined the CPA Wiki 3 years ago. It’s been quite the ride.
We have no plans to replace me and introduce a new bureaucrat to the mix. Since 2013, the CPA Wiki has traditionally always had just one active bureaucrat, the last year or so with me and Dino was a one-off.
However, until that time comes, stay tuned for more updates from us.
Dino and Rowan.
Hello editors, welcome to the October 2021 Wiki Update. We have a few updates for you this month.
Our first three WikiProjects have kicked off and we are slowly making progress on them.
The Club Penguin Online Army League [CPOAL] Project has started work updating and creating pages based on the CPOAL era. So far, a new page has been created for Light Troops along with updates to Templars and Help Force.
The Army Media Project is currently on hold due to Dino being busy, but they have made plans to cover a variety of media organisations from across army history, including Club Penguin Armies Media/Hub, S/M Armies Press and CPAC itself.
The Article Restoration Project is well underway. We’ve decided on an assortment of pages ranging from The Pain Wars to the Teutons and are currently working through updating these pages, or creating them in some cases!
You can find out more about WikiProjects in last month’s update. You can get a more detailed look at what everyone is working on over at the WikiProjects page, and you can join a WikiProject yourself by joining the CPA Wiki Discord and sending me a message.
Upcoming New Army Infobox
Dino is currently at work on a new infobox for all new army pages so that we are able to add things missing from the current one in use. We don’t want to tamper with the original as any mistakes we make could have a substantial impact on hundreds of pages on the wiki. We’ll share more details on this when the infobox is ready for use.
Since the previous update, we have promoted two staff members.
I am very pleased to announce the elevation of LartPower to Senior Content Moderator. We added the role as a stepping stone between content moderator and administrator many months ago. Lart has consistently been a brilliant member of the team who always contributes to ongoing staff discussions and we were very happy to recognise this.
Secondly, I am thrilled to also announce the promotion of Cabin to Administrator. Cabin has been editing the CPA Wiki for some years but only joined the wiki staff team earlier this year. He has since become one of our most active contributors and continues to build on a successful 5-month streak of consistent daily editing.
Dino and I have begun to consider future WikiProjects and have several ideas in mind. There are a lot of areas that we can cover in terms of specific army history, we could do a whole WikiProject for just one army as there is that much history in some cases like RPF or ACP. More on this as we get closer to the end with our ongoing 3 WikiProjects.
We’re also looking at a few other projects on the side, such as a system to allow armies to have wars outside of major server maps [without them going the way of the recent ACP vs Templars war that is].
The Hall of Fame project is on hold at the moment, we’d like to do it in December so that we can potentially include an inductee or 2 from our current staff. Don’t get too excited Lego.
On a personal note, I wanted to take the chance to acknowledge a wiki blog post by 54x, otherwise known to the CPA community as Battlefield. 54x was a content moderator here at the wiki at the end of 2020/start of 2021 but retired early on after controversies within the armies community.
Note: All user blog posts solely express the opinions of their authors and in no way represent the views of the CPA Wiki. Read at your own discretion.
54x highlighted the issue of personal bias on wiki pages that are self-written, an increasingly popular trend in recent months, starting with the Wiki’s own beloved staff member Legoman, whose original joke wiki page was, to be frank, a clear display of Lego’s massive, massive ego.
Whilst Lego’s page was intended as a joke and not meant to be taken seriously, self-written wiki pages do often tend to be biased in favour of the person who wrote the page. 54x highlighted his own wiki page [which is indeed in need of a rework, we’ll get around to it as soon as possible] which does tend to be biased in favour of 54, except towards the end where it is more strongly biased against him.
We are currently considering what we can do to resolve this problem. Bias is the last thing we want on the wiki and we intend to take steps to help curb it in this case. We’re considering using our planned Quality Review Process to help monitor for bias.
More on this another time once the team has had a chance to discuss the issue in detail.
For now, that’s all from us. Have a nice rest of the month and happy editing!
Rowan and Dino
Its a group that was made by testinguser2.
Hello editors, welcome to the September 2021 Wiki Update.
Today, we’re very pleased to kick things off with the announcement that WikiProjects are now live.
As of today, we are officially launching WikiProjects. Based off of a system used over at the English Wikipedia, WikiProjects are team-based projects aiming to work on a group of pages. This may be to fill the gaps on a specific army, subject or time period or to look at improving the quality of existing pages, or for other reasons which we’ll come across later on.
For now, we are starting off with three WikiProjects:
The CP Online Army League WikiProject- Focused on the armies that took part in the CP Online Army League [CPOAL], such as Pirates, Ice Warriors, Help Force and more in addition to the league itself.
The Army Media WikiProject- Focused on media organisations from throughout army history, such as CPAC, CPAM and CPAH, and lesser known organisations like Club Penguin Army Syndicate [CPAS, in operation in 2018 and 2019].
The Article Restoration WikiProject- Focused on an assortment of various pages in dire need of work.
Each WikiProject will have a project manager, who will be entirely in charge of their own WikiProject. For our first three projects the lineup is:
The CPOAL WikiProject will be led by administrator LEGOMAN.
The Army Media WikiProject will be led by Bureaucrat Dino/CaptainScratch
The Article Restoration WikiProject led by Bureaucrat Rowan Alden.
You can read more about WikiProjects here at their dedicated page. Check back there often for regular updates, and join the official CPA Wiki Discord server to join a project. We’ve also added the WikiProjects page to our top navigation under the ‘community’ tab.
We are also pleased to announce that the FandomDesktop transition is more or less at an end. Titlecons and infobox skins are fixed [special thanks to users on the official FANDOM server for taking a look at our code and helping us with the infobox skins]. With that done we can now look at resuming work on other projects.
Updates on Projects Previously Announced
Next, we’d like to provide updates on the projects we previously announced back in August.
We’re currently in the process of putting together a HoF with bios. We have some confirmed inductees and one or two other people for consideration, we hope to get this out within the next month with a post to announce inductees. The editing contest is still in the grapevine, we’re considering repurposing it for a holiday period.
We’re continuing to consider how we can put together a quality review process. This is fairly high up on the priority list and will likely be what we work on next.
The history page revamp is still being considered as well, we’ll likely consult with staff in the near future on how to put this together. Because of the scale of this project, we’ll be looking at doing it later down the line. We’ll also be looking at the staff page revamp in the near future.
Dino and I will be reviewing staff applications tomorrow, there’s still time to get one in. Apply here.
That's all the announcements for today. Check back soon for more updates, we hope to see you in the wiki server to help contribute to WikiProjects.
Rowan and Dino
Hello editors and welcome to the monthly update. We've been very busy behind the scenes this month, here's what's new:
1. Ongoing transition to FandomDesktop
Using custom code, you can restore most of the Oasis look, but this is a complex process so I won't go into details here. Feel free to drop me a line if you're curious and really don't like FandomDesktop.
In addition, we've taken the opportunity to add a ton of small features using bits of custom code which you may notice as you look around. Enjoy!
2. Staff of the Month for July
We're very pleased to announce Legoman as our staff of the month. Lego has been a part of the staff since January at the start of this year and he has contributed more to the CPA Wiki since than anyone ever expected for a guy who showed up on the wiki just to make a joke page. Lego has been active consistently ever since he started with us but has been especially active in the past month, providing pages long overdue.
I'd also like to give a general thank you to the entire wiki staff for your patience throughout the FandomDesktop transition and for an all-around excellent level of quality in editing over the past month.
If you're interested in joining the wiki staff yourself, applications are still open. We review them every 2-3 weeks.
Work on several of the planned new features mentioned here have been halted as a result of the FandomDesktop changes, but we still fully intend on implementing them. More to follow on these once the remaining issues with the FandomDesktop transition are resolved.
That's everything we had to announce for today. Stay tuned for further updates and happy editing!
Rowan and Dino
Hello editors, here's the month's update of things on our end. Sorry this is coming to you a little late! A fair amount of information here, so read carefully.
1. Legends List Updates
We will be adding two new organisations to the list of organisations whose Legends inductions we include on our Legends List:
Club Penguin Army HQ [CPAHQ]
Club Penguin Armies Network [CPAN]
This does not currently affect the Legends List, but additions will be made as these organisations make inductions. The wiki is also reviewing it's own plans regarding Legends this year.
2. Transition from Oasis to FandomDesktop
FANDOM, the service the wiki currently uses to host, has announced a mandatory move from the current wiki theme, Oasis, to the newly designed FandomDesktop. This will cause some problems for the custom additions implemented by editors over the years, including almost all of the additions brought to the wiki by my co-bureaucrat Dino.
We are currently looking at how to solve this issue and will have more updates on this in the weeks that follow, but as of now we have no choice but to transition to FandomDesktop and this will occur in the next few weeks for sure, so keep an eye out for that.
3. June's Staff of the Month
This month, we'd like to congratulate our content moderator Cabin for staff of the month. Cabin has been working on the wiki on and off for years and I was very pleased to have him finally join the team just a few months ago. Since, he has become one of our most active staff members and continues to drastically improve the wiki with his work.
Special mentions go to Sidie9 for some high quality editing this month and LEGOMAN for consistently being an invaluable member of the team.
Our staff applications are still open and we will be reviewing them in two weeks, feel free to apply here: https://forms.gle/zYYX9Yx9FuCc6bSd9
That's all we have to announce for now, thanks for reading.
Rowan and Dino
Hello fellow editors! I am the sitting bureaucrat Dino, or on the wiki known as CaptainScratch. As many of you are probably aware, I have been with the wiki since late 2019, joining the official editor team in March 2020, and because bureaucrat earlier this year also in March.
Since I've became bureaucrat, I'd like to reflect on some recent events in the year's history for this year.
Note: This is going to be long. You've been warned.
At the turn of the year with 2021 beginning, we started with a humble staff. Rowan was the acting bureaucrat, while myself and Cobra were his deputies as both administrators. Only other two active staff members to my knowledge were Battlefield and Lenco. Max had joined the team as an administrator (which he still to this day) as apart of a plan to expand the team.
After a minor vandal attack, resident editor Legoman helped clean up the vandalism all by himself without having the power of rollback. This along with his activity gave him an invitation to join the team as a mod. He has now became a senior moderator at the wiki.
Fast forward a small bit and we have concluded our legend inductions for 2020 and hired former CPAH EP Zambi to become a content mod. The wiki also witnessed Lego reach 1st place on the editor leaderboard.
Little happened since, although as Rowan intended to step down from active service, the torch was passed to me to become the next Wiki bureaucrat. Although there were from concerns from Flen, I can assure you he has full confidence in the newer administration nowadays.
Since then a lot has happened. A new front page, new staff roles, a Wiki Discord, a new pool of staff members (Lartpower, Df, Flav, Sidie, and Cabin), newer Wiki graphics, and general revival and interest in editing on the Wiki again.
I am so proud of our progress so far, and with this being said, I'd like to announce some plans going forward. Nothing radical. Moreover it is more of goals the plan I hope to see the Wiki reach in the coming months under this new bureaucracy.
Currently we have an abundance of stub pages and really no pages for significant figures. This is why I'm introduction the idea of an upcoming editing contest. How this contest will work is simple. For every stub you will revamp, you will get 2 points, and every new page you make will be 0.5.
Obviously, this doesn't mean spam stub pages to get points. Me and Rowan will be judging this contest and if we find any deliberate page spamming for points, you will earn a harsh deduction. Quantity is good, but quality is most important.
This contest will begin sometime in mid July, so keep your eyes peeled for that. We hope this contest will help us reach the milestone of 1,000 pages before the end of Summer!
2021 Legend Inductions:
As a tradition started back in 2019, the CPA Wiki will be doing a legend inductions in the winter. We, however, acknowledge the mistakes of our previous board in January.
For the upcoming legend inductions, we will respect the legend choices of CP Army Hub. I also look forward to negotiations to possibly broker an agreement with CP Army HQ. As Flen once noted, it is not the job of the Wiki to dictate legends, but to serve as an universal page of which legends are inducted.
As for our own board, it will be assembled in late November and will conduct business in December. If, however, CP Army Hub or CP Army HQ would like to work on an unified legends board with Wiki Bureaucracy delegation to prevent any problems, we will null our plans.
We will regardless respect what who they induct, but I hope we can work to solidify the inductions of legends so a Wikipedia isn't choosing it. We'll also be careful to choose who we pick this time around (as last time we invited some controversial and arguably biased picks to help with the vote). We have already began our candidate vetting process, and further details will come in November.
Quality Review Process:
I think I have mentioned this in other announcements, but similar to how the CP Fanon Wiki works, an quality review system will be coming soon in the fall. More details will come out closer to time.
History Pages Reform:
First things first, we intend to soon release a large codex of events in CPA history in an "unified history page". Obviously detailing the entire history of CPA on one page alone is not ideal, so this will be more of a list of redirects to the actual meat.
It's possibly we may make pages for specific years to detail all events in them but that is still for debate and review. We will make an actual follow-up to this by Rowan or me sometime in the late summer.
On a more serious, committed, and confirmed point, our own Wiki's history page will be getting a major revamp soon.
WikiProjects will soon be coming to the Wiki. No set announcement date is prepared yet but it is planned to come in the last week of June or first week of July. I'd like to see everyone hyped for that.
Staff Page Revamp:
A massive revamp to the staff page is coming. This will be a full index of all former staff members, along with a sub page dedicated to being a Staff Hall-of-Fame. The administrator list will be cleaned up, and some other touch-ups will be done.
Second Wave of Staff Applications:
Did you not get accepted for staff or forgot to submit an application? No worry! The Google Form will be cleaned out tonight so people can re-apply. Applications will always stay open, but we will be reviewing again on July 3rd. Applications can be found HERE.
The Club Penguin Armies page will be getting a massive clean up in July or August so it is not so messy and so it's better to navigate. Additionally, new Wiki graphics will be prepared.
The Wiki has no plans as of now to migrate to FandomDesktop. But eventually Fandom will be updating all Wikis to have it. We will be preparing to do a massive theme and CSS overhaul for when that happens.
That is all I have to say. Keep up the good work, CPA Wiki!
CPA Wiki Bureaucrat
Sorry this is coming to y'all so late, Dino has been very busy sorting other things out so I'll be making this announcement instead.
We have reviewed the staff applications received and we are pleased to announce the inclusion of two new staff members:
Sidie9- Content Moderator
Cabin- Content Moderator
Congratulations to both of you, welcome to the team.
To those of you who were not successful, don't be discouraged. We are still actively looking for staff and we welcome everyone who missed out this time to re-apply in the future after doing more work on the wiki to show us your capabilities.
I'm not sure what current plans are for the wiki staff team as I haven't talked to Dino properly in some time, but I'm sure he'll have a post out himself sometime soon including June's staff of the month among other things.
Congratulations again to our new staff!
Hey all, I won't get into too much here, but I wanted to announce that I had one last request of this Wiki page. This message is preferably targeted at Wiki staff members, but if some random member of the Wiki wants to take up this project feel free to.
Essentially, I am requesting someone to do a major re-work of my Wiki page.
You can read my hastily put together blog post here:
I go into more detail there about what I want if you want some specific clarifications.
Anyways, please feel free to message me on my message wall or on the comments of that blog post. I will try to check the Wiki for a response in the next week if I get a chance before I slip away back into my life.
My best wishes to you all,
I was supposed to do this a month power, but time does not favor me. But since I am currently available, I thought I make this wiki update.
Changes to the front-page
Article of the day will be every week for now as we cannot consistently update that.
The 'day in cpa history' has been changed to 'week in cpa history'. Same reason as above. We can revert this policy should we get more active staff.
A new staff of the month has been picked.
Speaking of staff of the month, I'd like to congratulate Df! Df has done a lot recently, growing from a humble temporary moderator to a key moderator on the team, With his administrative-like skills and experience, I'm glad he became a full-time moderator. Honestly me and Rowan were conflicted with who to give.
Honestly Flav is a very close runner-up, as he's done some nice page renovations and has been more active than Df for the past 2 weeks. So this was definitely hard to pick, but I want to congratulate Df and heavily thank Flav for his hard work.
Zamb has chosen to step down as wiki moderator. We wish him the best. In his place, Lartpower has joined the team as trial content moderator. Make sure to congratulate him.
Firstly, I'd like to announce the first ever public Club Penguin Army Wiki discord. Before, the discord has been more of a private workspace for communication. Cobra as bureaucrat attempted a public discord (with myself as Discord Manager), but it never got anywhere.
If you'd like to join the Wikia's discord, you can find it HERE.
And another big change, I'd like to announce the opening of Wikia Staff Applications! These will be permanent applications and only changed if a new bureaucracy exists.
I will be managing the applications, but should you have any questions, you can ask me, Rowan, or Flen (the three bureaucrats). Outsiders are free to apply as well (if they can be active).
Thank you all once again for reading this. This summer we're going to be rolling out some even more major wiki changes again and major public projects for the first time. Hope to see everyone continue to contribute!
I'm here to request for staff, I have recently been editing page, and I would like to even ADD some more member pages that should be recognize, Even though I am new to CPA, I love the topic and I could talk about it for hours. Anyhow, I have no other way to contact you guys, thank you for reading this.
Greetings Wiki Editors,
I'm going to be brief today, but I have some major announcements. I'll be splitting this into two parts (Technical Announcements and Staff Announcements) for ease of reading:
The front page has gotten a HUGE overhaul by yours truly. You can see by clicking here.
I did some background and header changes. I'm testing new themes for the wiki. Nothing though is set in stone.
An quality system is currently working on. It'll most likely be finished and released this April.
Df44 has joined the team temporarily to work on Water Viking related pages as a content moderator. Df is an extremely experienced editor from other Wikipedias. If he wishes, he may apply for full staff after his temporary term.
Additionally, I am creating the role of "Senior Moderator". It will serve as our lead content moderators along with being administrators-in-Training. After some consulting with the other bureaucrats, we have decided Legoman will become our first senior mod. Congratulations on the promotion. Make sure not to abuse it.
We are also doing a staff member of the month. For obvious reasons, Lego will be the first SOTM. Another one will be announced mid-April.
We'd also like to welcome content moderator 54x back to moderate activity. Great to see you contributing again.
An official way to apply for content moderator will be coming this April, so stay tuned if you'd like to become a moderator yourself! More staff changes expected to come this April.
Thanks again everyone, and continue working hard!
In 2016, I joined a cp army called the Night Warriors. There I met this guy his username was bmx_48. I respected and thought very highly of him. I really need to know how he is and how he’s doing. Coincidentally we were from the same hometown and I can’t help but wonder how he’s doing now. I researched a bit about the Night Warriors and it seems he continued to play under the name just “BMX”. While there’s further information about the leader he coexisted with “Clade”. I couldn’t find out where I could contact BMX. please if you could help me reach out to either Clade, maybe he’ll know where BMX is. Or if you know how to contact bmx_48. Please help me 🥺
Tell him cucumber’s looking for him. That is if he remembers me.
