The First Rewritten Cold War is a term used among CPRA historians. The term is coined after the period of tension between the Rebel Penguin Federation against the Tuba Army and the first iteration of the New Viking Alliance.
It is usually agreed that this Cold War lasted from the Tuba Invasion of Alaska (April 6th, 2017) to the closure of the Rebel Penguin Marines (April 21st, 2018). This Cold War spanned throughout five major private servers known as Club Penguin Rewritten, CPPS.me, Penguin Oasis, Virtual Penguin, and Club Penguin Universe.
This Cold War is one of three cold wars in the history of CPRA. Despite the RPF being victorious, it came at the cost of the resurrection of Anti-RPF movements. The failure to beat the RPF in the Cold War and the rising growth of Anti-RPF resentment helped set the stages for World War VII (in which the RPF would be defeated for the first time in CPPS history).
Background
Anti-RPF resentment had always existed in the world of Club Penguin Armies. It however came to public fruition in 2013 following Elmikey’s first reign as RPF leader. Many armies such as Burr’s Army Republic[1], Puckley’s Nachos[2], and Waterkid’s Light Troops[3] did not get along very well with Elmikey’s RPF, and often clashed with him. It did not help that Elmikey was not on good terms with the Blue Brothers’ Club Penguin Army Central[4].
While Elmikey’s RPF saw some successes such as the resurgence of RPF to worldwide global power status, along with winning the 2013 Legends Cup[5] and Christmas Chaos[6], many armies consider his RPF a huge problem in the community. Elmikey would be couped internally multiple times, eventually coming to a head in the 2014 RPF Civil War and other civil conflicts. Mr Waffle 45’s RPF would end up collapsing later on[7] due to the pressure and stress brought by Elmikey and the veterans.[8][9]
With Elmikey’s return numerous other times, anti-RPF movements continued to arise. In 2016, hatred for the RPF peaked following the hiring of Lord Pain as chief advisor and interim leader[10]. Pain and Elmikey would lead the RPF through a controversial conflict known as The Pain War.[11][12][13] While the RPF did win in a very disputed and heated victory, many armies had a new strong hatred for the RPF never seen before, especially by the RPF’s former ally, the Army of Club Penguin.[14]
Following Disney’s decision to close Club Penguin[15], a majority of armies opted to close. However, on the last day of Club Penguin, RPF leader Silverburg made the decision to move the army to Club Penguin Rewritten.[16] There, RPF planned to dominate completely.
A huge thorn in RPF’s plan of conquest was a very popular rogue trend known as the Tuba Army. There had been minor clashes between the two armies. However, Elmikey and Silverburg made a plan to have the Tubas seem like they were attacking the RPF, that way they could begin a defense war and build new RPF patriotism promoted by the greater community. Little did they know this would backfire. This incident would later be known as the Tuba Invasion of Alaska.
Stage 1: The Great Tuba War
Early Tuba Offensives (April 6th, 2017 - May 2017)

Following the fiasco on Alaska, Elmikey would choose to declare a state of war against the Tuba Army within the next two days[17]. Elmikey wouldn’t provide much reasoning, however RPF 2nd-in-Command said in a press statement that it was due to the fact that the Tuba Army had aggressively attacked the RPF. They also accused the Tuba Army of disrupting regular penguin traffic and day-to-day business with their spam, toot spam, and large gatherings.
With the stage set, the Rebel Penguin Federation would forge an alliance with the Rangers, an newly created army by Zuke, Ganger90, and Huzma.[18] The Rangers’ job were to help eliminate any Tuba-aligned armies. In exchange, the RPF offered their troops and recognition to the newly created army. This would lead to the Rangers colonizing the Underground Mafias Army[19] and allowing the RPF to use its servers as a base.[20]
Elmikey would put an order into effect declaring that if more than 7 tubas or UMA were online any servers, the RPF would log on in an unscheduled attempt to quell the Tuba uprising or UMA gathering.[21] This led to some situations where the RPF wasn’t prepared enough and the Tuba Army outnumbered them. Elmikey and Chip also ordered the transition from Xat to Discord after a proposal from chief advisor and former leader Twitchy543 gained loads of attraction[22].
Toolbox, an veteran of the original Tubas Army, decided to lead the rogue clan against the RPF. He would hire Tygokid and Cajan as his side-leaders. Tygokid played a big role in the army’s growth and culture with the “Tuba Pride Group”, an subdivision of the overall Tuba Army. Toolbox would also forge alliances with The Acids. Around this time, the RPF briefly assumed the Tubas had fallen early[23].
An group known as the United Republic of Penguins started to harbor many anti-RPF people, alongside general sympathy with the Tubas and all anti-RPF efforts. They caught wind of an old theory from 2012 that the RPF controlled every aspect of the community and media[24]. This theory would be known as Rebel Penguin Illuminati theory. One such person was an URP-rogue operative known as Sidika Ghazi. Sidika Ghazi would use URP leader Manifest Red as an proxy agent to get information from CPRAC executive Security on CPRAC’s relationship to the Federation.
Great Social Justice War and Legends Cup (June 30, 2017 - July 8th, 2017)

Around this time, the Social Justice Army and Underground Mafias Army joined the Tuba sphere of influence against the RPF. However, following major belief differences, the Social Justice Army and UMA would schism and have an in-fighting known as The Great Social Justice War. This came after the Social Justice Army accused the UMA of being a Nazi regime.
Around this time, CPRAC Chief Executives Security and Sammie invited all armies to take part in a summer tournament in replace of the annual Legends Cup tournament. All of the armies at the time came together under the Tuba Army roof in an attempt to crush the RPF. However, their plan was squashed and the RPF would end up winning the tournament. This failure to organize led to more in-fighting within the weak opposition.
Before the Social Justice Army collapsed in mid-July 2017 due to the war with UMA, Khayratt Quran would release an exposure post on then-RPF 2nd-in-Command Left. According to Khayratt, Elmikey made an scrapped post containing screenshots of Left admitting he was the notorious former Dark Warriors leader XxToysoldier. Toysoldier, or just simply known as Toy, had a record of hitting RPF troops offline and hacking the RPF website. Elmikey immediately scrapped, fearing he might be couped. Khayratt’s sharing of the then-deleted post led to many people to become suspicious of this Left figure. RPF ownership would later try to share the rumors in chat to save their reputation during the Tuba war.
Around this time, the RPF would influence relations within the Tuba sphere again, causing The Acids, an close ally of the Tuba Army, to war with the dying Social Justice Army due to their post on the RPF. This would cause a huge split in the RPF opposition sphere. While they were all unified for one cause (ending RPF supremacy), their cause was proven to be very weak and loads of in-fightings hurt their chances of an unified offensive against the RPF.
Fall of CPRAC and Summer Developments (July 9th, 2017 - August 30th, 2017)
With the collapse of the Social Justice Army, the Rebel Penguin Federation was now safe-guarded from the Left allegations. The Miners would merge into the UMA and the UMA would begin a period of reconstruction. This would prove to be an issue for the RPF.
After a falling out between Eden, Sammie, and Security, CPRAC would end up being completely defaced. All remaining discord servers and websites were deleted. Sammie would end up being doxxed and dipped in reaction to it. Security would pin it on Eden, but Eden would say otherwise. Community corruption started to appear.
Elmikey started to become less active as Popsiclebeak was made leader. Chip was later retired around this time. The RPF halted making moves for the next 2 months. The army finally was losing its veteran support. Around this time, Commando717 offered Elmikey server ownership over the Rebel Penguin Federation, but Elm would decline. This would prove to haunt him down the line.
Later Tuba Offensives (September 1st, 2017 - October 13rd, 2017)
The annual “September Drop” would take place that month. The Tubas did not suffer much, however the RPF would. In the past months, many of their leaders from the April transition had retired. 2nd-in-Command Left would be promoted to RPF leadership to reshape the army amiss the crisis and Elmikey’s inactivity. Left’s first actions as RPF’s new head diplomat would be to begin rolling out an act of isolationism. Left still believed in the 7 tuba rogue rule set by Elmikey, but he did not want RPF becoming too involved with the outer workings of the community to the point where it put the army in a state of jeopardization, especially after the fall of CPRAC in August 2017.
Left’s second order was to promote Head General DjCrystal to 2nd-in-Command. Left directed her to set up a proper patrolling system and to push for a new offensive in the fall. She would deliver what Left wanted and created the first CPPS army patrolling system. RPF would finally be able to counter Tuba raids in unscheduled events. Left would push heavily into October to start and break the Tuba Army.
Left’s foreign decisions would be very controversial. However, the RPF would see an revival under the “Popleft” duo. Elmikey would begin to fade away as an active main supervisor of the RPF, UMA leaders Dillon, Zeke, Smurf, and Games would choose to revive the Romans army (though Dillon would be deposed on the first day and would go back to UMA), and a new Brazilian-based army known as the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin (led by respective former Nachos and Water Ninjas leaders Cookky2 and Edu14463) would be created. The first stage of the Cold War had passed.
Stage 2: Development of Armies & RPI
By now, the Romans army had returned after being closed for over a year. This revival came after the decline of UMA. The UMA leadership decided it was best to revive the Romans army. The new leadership would be the old UMA leadership of Dillon, Smurf, Zeke, and Games. A new Brazilian army would also be founded. It would be called the “Elite Guardians of Club Penguin”. This new army was founded by former Nacho Army leader Cookky2 and former Water Ninjas leader Edu14463. The idea of the army was made back in December 2016 as an proposed Brazilian colony for the Nachos.
Another old army would also be revived at the time. This would be the Dark Knight Empire by former Army Republic leader Flame. He would revive the army with his companion Yikes tbh. He would recruit an unknown former original RPF soldier known as SavageCobra. Cobra would easily rise the ranks of this newly revived army. Both the UMA and DKE agreed to form a brother alliance called the UMADKE pact.
Elmikey’s inactivity continues to be a major issue in the army, and when he is active in the chat room, he talks about inappropriate topics such as drugs. A lot of the RPF members become disturb by him and the staff begin distancing from Elm. Toy officially assumes the role as main leader of the RPF with Popsiclebeak.
Last Luck of the Tubas (October 26th, 2017 - November 14th, 2017)
A short depression came and went in October. Many people were retiring again and maximum sizes were declining. The RPF would take advantage of this and capitalized on the weakening of the Tubas. Tool Box would promote Scout11 to leader to replace Cajan and Tygokid. They would be fighting for the rest of their existence in fear.
Community Endorsements for the Tubas (Early November 2017)
The Tubas would have a saving grace of sorts, though. Club Penguin Rewritten owner Codey would “join” the Tubas and helped them in battles. This gave Tubas the community blessing that the RPF didn’t have, which upset Elmikey. This would lead to Elmikey beginning to plot against the CPR staff.
Roman Problems (Early November 2017 - November 14, 2017)
Back at the Romans, they faced a lot of internal issues. Zeke left to help Dillon revive UMA and Smurf would be temporarily demoted to 2nd-in-Command. Sidika Ghazi would become the next Romans leader due to the URP merging into the Romans. She however proven to be a bit of a nuisance. She knew as an ally of the RPF, she could use it for intelligence gathering purposes.
On November 13th, Sidika made a site post on Romans officially declaring the Rebel Penguin Illuminati theory to the public. This angered the RPF, the Roman staff, and Roman Emperor Djgtjvgyhxgy. Twitchy543 would later make a response post asmr took down Sidika’s post. After a confrontation with Dj, Twitchy, and Smurf, Sidika would be fired. Ulysses Nardo from Penguin Press would be hired as a Romans leader and Smurf re-promoted to leader.
Ceasefire and Fall of the Tubas (November 14, 2017, December 5th, 2017)
The Tubas would continue to fall due to the pressure from RPF DjCrystal’s patrol system and Toy’s smart diplomacy. Mr Prussian would be promoted as Leander and directed with expanding the Tubas to the other private servers (which failed). Security would end up defacing the Tubas discord, and in an executive decision, Scout deleted the Tuba Army discord server. The Tubas lost any sense of organization and began to fall apart.
An ceasefire would be agreed by the RPF and the Tubas on November 30rd. The last action Toolbox’s Tubas faced would be around December 5th in a small skirmish against the RPF. Toolbox would resign as Tuba leader to later on help Elmikey with other projects such as the RPM. Scout would resign and Mr Prussian continued to do small army mercenary missions on Penguin Oasis.
Brief URP War and Setting the Seeds (December 2nd, 2017 - December 7th, 2017)
Following the firing of Sidika Ghazi’s firing, the URP would un-merge. Doctor Calamus, also known as Moonlocks, would lead the army again. He began working on an planned anti-RPF alliance known as the New Viking Alliance. On December 2nd, 2017, Djgtjvgyhxgy would have the Romans declare war on URP for the RPI incident, troop-stealing, and treason. The war would later be cancelled in favor of an war on UMADKE due to their leader Flame being a dictator and Games bad-mouthing Romans on the UMA chat-room. Armies would enter a new period known as the “Depression of December”.
Stage 3: New Viking Offensive and Coup of Elmikey
Further conflict began brewing within the community following the failed merge between the United Republic of Penguins and the Romans armies. Due to the URP reforming back into it's army, Romans Emperor Djgtjvgyhxgy declared war on the United Republic, however he would retract these declarations to focus on a newer enemy, the UMADKE alliance. This was attributed to the previous conflict between the Dark Knight Empire and the Romans, resulting in skirmishes at the time, as well as their conflict with the Underground Mafias Army, due to the UMA undoing their rebrand following disputes. This war would be known as the War of Roman Subjugation.
War of Subjugation (December 5th, 2017 - December 9th, 2017)

The War of Subjugation was declared on December 5th, 2017 by the Roman's Emperor Dj. His declaration entailed allegations that the Dark Knight's creator and leader at the time, Flame was a dictator, following damning screenshots taken by former DKE second-in-command, Clemont4, a figure who would go onto be a big catalyst in future cold war conflict. Future CPA legend Cobra would be appointed leader of the Dark Knights at the break of war, resulting in the formalization of the UMADKE alliance between brother allies DKE and UMA. Together, they worked side by side in warfare, practically merging both armies assets into the DKE Discord server. From there, a series of invasions occurred, the first being the "Blitzkrieg" on December 5th at 9 PM EST, a rather informal war move that would set the stage for the wars future 2007 style conflict.
Romans invade the Dark Knights (December 5th - December 6th)
On December 6th, the first "battle" was fought on the Romans capital of Blizzard, resulting in a skirmish where the outnumbered Dark Knights battled the Romans and exchanged banter, which led to reinforcements on both sides to arrive. Both would claim victory and log off after some time. Later the day, the Romans invaded Deep Freeze and won without any form of retaliation, leading to some to question the competence of the UMADKE leadership. Although unorganized, Cobra did cement himself as the diplomatic head of UMADKE, forging support from the Tubas and United Republic of Penguins, with the latter going on to form the New Viking Alliance with the Dark Knights. The date of formation is unknown, but is suggested to be on December 6th or December 7th, UMADKE would de facto merge into it. Cobra would eventually cut all diplomatic ties with the Romans.
Coup of Elmikey; War becomes proxy war (December 7th - December 8th)
Following the formation of the New Viking Alliance, the Romans invaded Abominable, the Dark Knights capital. At first, the Romans had an edge over the UMADKE forces, but soon, Acids and URP forces began pouring in to help. This ended up resulting in a Dark Knight victory. However, the forces, unbeknownst of what was occurring, would be met with a surprise. During this time, the Rebel Penguin Federation formally couped Elmikey from his leadership and administrative positions, banning him from the Discord, authorized and carried out by Commando717, the RPF owner and creator. The RPF would release a post later on citing that Elmikey abused powers and created an unsafe environment for kids. This would lead Elmikey to join the UMADKE forces in UMA uniform, and would later enlist in the Dark Knights for a low rank. Elmikey went onto form the Rebel Penguin Marines. The New Viking Alliance continued to grow rapidly due to the support from Moonlocks and Cobra, the two commanders of the alliance at this time. The next day, the final battle of the war was fought. Jokingly called the "Godly Battle of Deep Freeze" in early 2018, the battle was held on Deep Freeze between the New Viking Alliance and the Romans. Troops poured in from each side and remained a stalemate for nearly the whole battle, which would last two hours. However, due to the RPM ties with the NVA, RPF began sending support to the Romans during this battle. This would help cement the war as a proxy war for the RPF, but what really cemented it was when Cobra went into the RPF server to criticize Left's actions, resulting in his silencing and ban. This would be a casus beli for future conflict.
Romans exit war (December 9th)
On December 9th, the Romans exited the war, forced by the Romans Emperor Dj. He did this to starve Elmikey from attention, due to the NVA ties with the RPM. This would lead the UMADKE forces to claim victory. The RPM would end up being removed from the New Viking Alliance regardless, with Moonlocks stating that Elmikey is a dictator. The UMA and DKE would continue to exist, but the Dark Knights would ultimately collapse due to internal struggle, with a near war breaking out between the UMADKE armies.
Post-War of Roman Subjugation (December 10th, 2017 - January 3rd, 2018)
Following the end of the war, the conflict still continued immensely within the community, bottling up more and more.
Early RPF-RPM War (December 17h - December 31st)

During the War of Roman Subjugation, Elmikey continued to form his Rebel Penguin Marines. Attracting former RPF leaders and high commanding members and veterans, as well as new anti-RPF people and loyalists, he was able to grow the army to hit decent sizes. He also attracted the likes of Security, who would end up defacing the army with Conor/Sweater later this month. The RPM began to develop a bad reputation, but continued to grow and hit sizes of 30+ during it's first event. Security formally declared war on the RPF on December 10th, as well as praised and defended Elmikey. The RPM also attacked a RPF event on December 12th. Following Security and Conor's defacement of the RPM site, the RPM returned and managed to gain associates such as Cobra (who was leading the URP and NVA at this time) and Clemont4 (who was thrown out of previous armies). They would be catalysts in the famous raid of the RPF Winter Olympics, with Cobra expressing, in a now memed fashion "FUCK CHIP". Eventually, RPM would be banned from CP Rewritten after a member named NullType began engaging in hacking activities against the RPF website.
New Viking Alliance expands (Late December 2017 - January 3rd, 2018)

With the end of the war, the New Viking Alliance continued to grow as the URP (led by Nullify, Moonlocks, and Cobra) continued to grow the alliance diplomatically. Setting up a practical intelligence program, they worked on undermining any army that opposed the anti-RPF ideologies, one of which was the Underground Mafias Army, which soon began expressing anti-NVA sentiments due to them breaking up the UMADKE alliance. Soon, armies like the Elite Guardians and Club Penguin Crew would be brought into the army, leading to future conflict known as the War Against Ehroyals, which resulted in a NVA uprising against the UMA, which instituted an attempted coup. This coup would be carried out by UMA second-in-command at the time, Mason Cooper, who would form the NVA influenced New Underground Mafias Army. Ehroyals and Games would lead the Eastern Hancock Underground Mafias Army. This would be known as the UMA Civil War of 2018.
Near uprising and CPC-Roman Proxy War (Late January - early February 2018)

The community continued to be in it's small state, with the biggest armies being the CP Crew and the Elite Guardians, with the Romans attempting to make a comeback. With conflict finally ending in the UMA Civil War, the community began to see a decrease in tensions, until the CPC-Roman War, which would see Twitchy543 return to lead the Romans after Smurf stepped down, leading to heavy RPF support on the Romans' side of the war. Despite the CP Crew winning the battles, the CPC would lose as Security defaced and brought down the army, and would form the later Club Penguin Crew Empire, which would go onto be a heavily mocked army by veterans of this time.
The Uprising that Never Was (January 2018)
In January, 2018, an organization supported by the New Viking Alliance was subsequently formed to counter the RPF. The name has gone forgotten in history, but the goals were simple - end the RPF. The likes of Moonlocks, Cobra, Security, and Elmikey all took part in decisions for this organization, but was headed by the now legendary Edenboy6, the founder of CP Rewritten Army Central and later leader of the Water Ninjas. The organization called for a World War against the RPF, in which many armies did in fact declare war, but did very little to uphold it. This would set the seeds for future conflict.
The Scramble for the Map (early February - February 22nd, 2018)

In early February, 2018, the Romans began to see a resurgence after CP Crew refugees joined their side, such as Zeke and Cobra, two former second-in-commands. Despite the resurgence, this would do very little long term, and led to rebellious Romans, CPC, and former DKE figures to reform the Dark Knights. Twitchy543 at this time merged his CP Army Lounge organization with Ulysses Nardo's (Romans leader at the time) Penguin Press to found the legendary Club Penguin Army Syndicate. The CP Army Syndicate was the first formal league in the CPPS era of armies, and the first formal league in CPA history. The league saw participants from everyone, even the RPF. This league would help bring a hub to armies, to settle disputes, organize invasions and wars, and help out with regulating rules. The biggest factor of this was the map. This led to a mass scramble for the map between all armies, with the Elite Guardians capturing 38 servers (not counting colonies) at it's peak, making it the largest CPPS army empire ever.
After Cobra, the Dark Knights leader, felt bad for the Romans, he merged the two armies under the Romans name, and the Romans saw a peak of activity once again, beginning a minor golden age. The previous UMADKE Civil War between the Dark Knights and UMA over the defacing of the UMA website, would turn into the UMA-Romans War, which would result in a de facto Roman victory. However, both sides would agree to a treaty, and would focus efforts on the War on EGCP Imperialism, which resulted in the exit of the Romans, the exit of the CPCE, and the closure of the UMA. This would begin the next downtrend. But what caused great havoc, was the RPF pull out of the Romans alliance, due to the army harboring NullType and Cobra, which would lead to future conflict leading up to World War VII.
Stage 4: Final Campaigns and CPR Closure
The fourth and final stage was the least eventful of the entire Cold War, but did help plant the seeds for World War VII.
Period of Inactivity and CPR Closure (February - March 2018)
During this period, the CP Army Syndicate began to collapse due to inactivity of armies at this time, as well as struggle between the Daily Small Medium Army News and revival of CP Rewritten Army Central news sites. The Romans shut down on March 2nd due to inactivity, and were raided by the RPF on their final event, led by Left. This caused great distress within Cobra, who would use this as a casus beli to "avenge" Romans in World War VII. On March 4th, RPF claimed to hit a max of 100+ in their Operation: Waddle On event, which was their final event on CP Rewritten for the time being, as they switched to CP Universe and later CP Online. This event would be debunked later for not hitting 100+, but was generally close to the claimed size. This would help Popsiclebeak be rewarded with CPA Legend in 2019.
Formation of the Templars and closure of the RPM (April 4th - April 22nd, 2018)
On April 4th, Xing was ousted from the Red Comrades army led by Zeke/Fudge. In response, Xing would form the Templars, a now legendary major army. He was soon brought into conflict against the Elite Guardians in the First Great Holy War, and would lose later on. However, the biggest part of this period was when Elmikey merged his Rebel Penguin Marines into the Templars on April 22nd, making Elmikey leader. This would end the Cold War, but the stress caused within the likes of Cobra, Elmikey, and Xing would cause World War VII to occur later on. The Templars closed in May, but would return in the summer to become a notable major army yet again, but this time, with a twist.

Foreign Opinions of RPF
RPF-Sphere Armies
Romans ─ While the Romans army assisted the RPF in The Great Tuba War and while the RPF helped the Romans in their proxy wars, they always had rough relations. Djgtjvgyhxgy heavily despised Elmikey and believed he was a mentally ill leader in 2017. When the RPF couped Elm, Dj applauded the RPF. During the last events of the Romans in 2018, the RPF started raiding Romans events, unexpectedly terminating relations and fighting an informal war. It was seen as a huge betrayal.
Rangers ─ The Rangers were very supportive of the RPF, and helped expand their goals against Tuba-influenced armies. However, they themselves were on more neutral terms with the Tubas.
Hawk Rebellion Catch ─ The HRC was very supportive of the RPF. And while they were an colony of the Romans when the betrayal happened, they still remained positive with the army. Wolfy and Hawk were both apart of the RPF as higher members.
Tuba-Sphere Armies
Tuba Army ─ The Tuba Army had always been enemies with the RPF in the First Rewritten Cold War. In fact, the FRCW started due to an battle between the two. Even after the fall of the Tubas, many of their troops and leaders would go on to help other anti-RPF movements. They were the leading antagonists for the first half of the cold war.
Underground Mafias Army / Eastern Hancock Underground Mafias Army ─ The UMA pre-February and EHUMA would be a crucial member of the Tuba sphere. After the fall of the Tubas, they became the leading figure in their sphere and would lead it until after the War on EGCP Imperialism in which the sphere collapsed entirely as the UMA fell under the NVA sphere. They disliked quite the RPF a lot, battling with them and their proxies on multiple occasions.
The Acids ─ The Acids army was not very fond of the RPF, but did have a lot of RPF influence. They helped eliminate the SJA for them in a proxy war. Many Acid members helped the Tuba Army against the RPF in battles.
New Viking-Sphere Armies
United Republic of Penguins ─ The URP were probably the most extreme anti-RPF army. They harbored conspiracy theorists such as Sidika Ghazi, and were responsible for the formation of the New Viking Alliance, the first successful mega-alliance in CPPS history. They did everything in their power to crush the influence of the RPF and its allies in a series of proxy wars, spying, and influencing.
Elite Guardians of Club Penguin ─ The EGCP, despite being a more newer army at the time and only coming into existence by the second stage, proved to be a large deal for the NVA sphere. They helped crushed what was left of the old Tuba sphere and challenged the RPF multiple times. They would be the RPF's main rival for the rest of the two last stages, in World War VII, and the first stage of the Second Rewritten Cold War. They are called the RPF's biggest rival in CPPS.
Templars ─ The Templars were a legendary army and even were led by Elmikey. They were very against the RPF and its sphere (except for Romans which Xing was previously a 3rd-in-Command in). The Templars eventually kickstarted the war effort for World War VII with the likes of people like Xing, Elmikey and Cobra. They soon went on to hold off many RPF raids against them and eventually defeated them when RPF tried to raid one of their events, maxing 60+. The Templars would eventually soon go on to have a hand or a part in most, if not all future CPA conflicts from World War VII and beyond.
Underground Mafias Army / New Underground Mafias Army ─ With the rise of Mason Cooper, the UMA became very NVA-aligned. Even though Mason would pit the UMA against the EGCP in the cold war, the army was still very NVA influenced and would completely align by the end of the war. They were less negative towards the RPF than pre-regime change but Mason was still avidly anti-RPF, having helped the RPM battle them a lot.
Redemption Force ─ RF was not very pro RPF, and one of the reasons why it revived was to try and rival the RPF army.
Club Penguin Crew (Empire) ─ The Crew led by Thomas83514 wasn't supportive of RPF, mainly because it was very Nacho-influenced. Security's CPC did not like it any better. Security heavily disliked RPF and its leadership, and wanted to permanently destroy it. He supported unethical warfare against the RPF to try and win.
Revolutionary Assault Militia ─ RAM was very anti-RPF and launched a few guerilla raids on them. They also scrambled to help NUMA in the UMA civil war to prevent a RPF intervention.
Other Armies
Dark Knight Empire ─ The DKE was not very fond of the RPF. They found against the RPF multiple times, and helped form the New Viking Alliance. Cobra would become one of the most well-known anti-RPF figures in CPPS. When DKE merged into Romans and brought its influence, the RPF grew wary of the Romans.
Social Justice Army ─ The Social Justice Army was very critical of the RPF, having written exposes on it and called it a Nazi regime due to the harboring of XxToysoldier as "Left". The RPF would use proxies against it, which caused SJA to forever be against the army.
Rebel Penguin Marines ─ This should go without saying due to the fact that the RPM was a rebellion (led by Elmikey) to try and take over the RPF. They had a few battles with them, and helped promoted anti-RPF belief. The RPM was prove to be a large challenge for the RPF due to its influence and status.
Legacy & Aftermath
Coup of Elmikey
The impact the coup of Elmikey had on the community was substantial. Many people thought Elm would return to a seat of power, but that would never happen. In a post by Romans Emperor Dj, he urged the community to fully ignore Elmikey so he did not get attention and would leave the community seeking help. Dj took extreme measures such as having Romans exit the War of Roman Subjugation despite winning just so Elmikey and his Rebel Penguin Marines could not regain relevancy.
Many people believe the NVA kicking Elmikey out was a bad move, as it lost its special card to card all of RPF's proxies. Many people also believe that because the NVA gave into Dj's posts, it ruined the chances of the RPM from actually being a large deal and thus ruined their chances of winning the cold war.
Elmikey would later use his RPM impact for the Templars army. Templars would later temporarily become the Neo-RPF in August 2018. Elmikey's end game goal was to re-take power. It however failed, and chances of redemption lowered over the years. Twitchy did pardon Elmikey in October 2018, but later revoked it after finding out that Elmikey was still truly wicked with his intentions. Elmikey would return to RPF in 2020 as an advisor during World War Rewritten, but otherwise lost all of his influence. The 4 year long empire had finally collapsed.
World War VII

The failure to defeat the RPF in the First Rewritten Cold War gave fuel for later anti-RPF movements. The failures and mistakes from FRCW allowed the RPF opposition to learn from heir mistakes of in-fightings and lack of organization. This would lead to the Red Dawn Alliance and later World War VII. Due to an coordinated effort, the RPF would finally be defeated for the first time in CPPS history.
Effects on the Rebel Penguin Federation
Foreign Relations
The Rebel Penguin Federation's relations with other armies declined throughout the war. Their isolationism, betrayal of the Romans, failure to act on the UMA Civil War of 2018, proxy campaigns, and general focusing on the Tuba War instead of allies led to the weakening of the Federation's friendships. Many people say the reason why the RPF lost World War VII was because Toy's foreign policy, while good at first, came to haunt him and made too many enemies for RPF.
Morale Cost
Morale was pretty shot. Club Penguin Universe turned out to be a bust, and around 92% of the active player-base was RPF, and CPU wasn't getting any new players. RPF suffered many retirements, and only saw a resurgence in morale around when Toy first became leader in October.
Tuba Empire Collapse

The collapse of the Tuba Empire is similar to the collapse of the Roman Empire of 2006. This caused a decline in rogue trends for a while and led to a huge disorganized Tuba front. Multiple people claimed to be the leaders of the Tubas. The Tuba Army would never be able to fully organize again. This allowed for RPF supremacy to rule until the summer of 2018.
Left's Isolationism Policy
Left's isolationism policy is quite controversial. Despite working at first, it proved to be a major reason why the RPF would later be defeated in World War VII. People were divided on whether or not RPF's decision to ignore the UMA Civil War of 2018 was a smart one move. Regardless, a lot of people consider RPF advisor Twitchy543 a better diplomat of the era. RPF's attempt to exit isolationism with the United Armies of Club Penguin Online by Chip ended up back-firing heavily. Left's isolationism policy still remains highly disputable in retrospect.
Criticism of the Opposition
Views on the United Republic of Penguins
Many people believe the reason why the RPF opposition wasn't able to defeat the RPF was due to the leadership of the URP of the New Viking Alliance and its inappropriate espionage missions. Their attempt to push the RPI theory back-fired, and led to the URP losing control over the Romans. Many people also say they were too hasty with their moves. Whatever the reason may be, the first New Viking Alliance iteration is often seen as a failure, or at least people consider its failure to quell the RPF early on as a poor judgement on the URP's part.
Failure to Unify
A huge talking point and criticism of the opposition to the RPF was the failure to unify under one front. While the NVA attempted it, it proved to not be a strong alternative to the RPF. The fact that different spheres of the opposition competed against one another while also attempting to fight the RPF is seen as a major reason why the Tubas failed to beat the RPF. The UMA would constantly cause problems with other opposition spheres, and the Tuba sphere proved to be a very weak alliance. While they did make up for their failure to unify in World War VII with the RDA, the fact that the opposition didn't mobilize earlier proven to be a huge issue.
Rebel Penguin Marines Incompetence
Many people blame Elmikey's incompetence over the RPM as a big criticism too. Elmikey failed to take RPM serious, and generally rushed it. RPM was mostly de facto ran by other people such as Zeke, Cobra, Clemont4, and Games. Many people blame the NVA for giving into Dj's post and ignoring the RPM, but some army historians say it wouldn't had made a difference because of Elmikey's poor leadership over RPM. The Neo-RPF would not be seen as any better.
Notable Facts
- The coup of Elmikey could've been avoided, actually. According to an statement made by Elm in April 2020, he stated that Commando717 offered him server ownership, but Elmikey declined saying "it just wouldn't feel like I'm fighting the good fight or whatever". If Elmikey had accepted, he could've used his power to avoid being removed.
- Elmikey wasn't going to be banned at first and didn't even plan on forming the Rebel Penguin Marines, but after bad mouthing the leadership in main, he would be punished.
- The "Rebel Penguin Marines" is named after Elmikey's faction in the 2014 RPF civil war, the Rebel Penguin Federation Marines.
- Sidika Ghazi's back history and identity is still very mysterious. Even members of the United Republic of Penguins failed to understand her motives and who she was. She was most likely a rogue agent with allegiance to herself.
- The 2012 you-write article about the Rebel Penguin Illuminati never existed. In fact, the you-write feature didn't even exist yet.
- This wasn't the first ever CPA cold war and wasn't the last one in the CPPS era. There would be two more cold wars, both involving the Rebel Penguin Federation.
- A majority of the wars actually were in-fightings on the Anti-RPF side influenced by the RPF in an proxy effort. XxToysoldier is credited to orchestrating these plots.
- Left almost became a Romans leader in March instead of rejoining RPF, but he demanded that he be the sole leader. Emperor Twitchy543 declined to do this.
