The Pain Wars was a series of two wars that took place near the end of December 2016. The first war was the Pain War, a conflict between the Rebel Penguin Federation and an alliance which composed of the Army of Club Penguin, the Nacho Army, and the Army Republic. Near the end of the Pain War, the Grinch War, the second war of the series, flared up and saw the Doritos of Club Penguin, Army of Club Penguin, and the Army Republic up against the Rebel Penguin Federation.

To this day, the results of both wars are disputed, with the Rebel Penguin Federation declaring victory in the Pain Wars on January 10, 2017, and the Army of Club Penguin not recognizing the former's claim of victory. Nonetheless, the war score of the Pain War is in favor of the Rebel Penguin Federation, the war score of the Grinch War is in favor of the alliance which composed of the Doritos of Club Penguin, Army of Club Penguin, and the Army Republic, and by the end of the Pain Wars, the Army of Club Penguin was effectively nationless.

Overview

Pain War

Beginning

Near December 13, 2016, Silverburg, Lord Pain, and Ghost rejoined the Rebel Penguin Federation leadership. During the months leading up to the change in leadership, RPF was under the leadership of Chip, who was notable for their efforts within the Water Vikings.

On December 20, Lord Pain's anti-ACP rhetoric sparked the Rebel Penguin Federation to declare war on the Army of Club Penguin. In response to the declaration, the Army of Club Penguin stated that they will return the fight straight back to them. Fearing that they will be next, to the dismay of former leaders and veterans, the Nacho Army joined forces with the Army of Club Penguin, their longtime enemy, by declaring war on the Rebel Penguin Federation. In response to the war declaration by the Nacho Army, the Rebel Penguin Federation called them hypocrites.

Events

On December 21, 2016, the Army of Club Penguin successfully invaded the Rebel Penguin Federation capital of Tuxedo as the latter army was not present to defend. Lord Pain, in a private conversation with someone presumably from the Club Penguin Army Central, contested the ruling, claiming the Rebel Penguin Federation was not aware of the invasion.

That same day, the Army of Club Penguin declared victory against the Rebel Penguin Federation in their defense of Breeze. The victor of the battle is contested as the Rebel Penguin Federation also claimed to be the winner.

Nacho Army leader Ryan was accused by the Rebel Penguin Federation and members of his army of bot raiding the former with an account named "Qarv." Ryan denied the claim.

On the side of the Army of Club Penguin and the Nacho Army, the Army Republic joined the war, partly due to their negative relationship with the Rebel Penguin Federation and some people within the army. Later on, Army Republic former leader Yank, with photographic evidence, accused the Rebel Penguin Federation of multilogging. The Rebel Penguin Federation denied the accusation.

In regards to Ryan, Yank called upon Snickers, a third-in-command of the Nacho Army, to take appropriate action against Ryan if the latter believed any botting took place. Snickers stated that they believed botting occurred, therefore, that same day, Club Penguin Army Central Vice President Ben and GFX designer Dawix investigated Ryan's computer through TeamViewer and consequently found nothing damning. Dawix went on to claim former Nacho Army leader Dan101 is Qarv, claiming that Dan botted to try to frame and remove Ryan from his leadership position within the Nacho Army. Nonetheless, the next day, Ryan admitted to botting with the Qarv account. He did not intend to step down unless veterans of the Nacho Army requested him to.

On December 22, Army of Club Penguin leader Noka accused the Rebel Penguin Federation of illegal drug use.

The legality of the Army of Club Penguin's future invasion of Half Pipe was questioned following claims the army secretly changed the time of the invasion. Later that day, the army would go on to successfully invade the territory from the Rebel Penguin Federation.

Former Army of Club Penguin leader Trader shared his belief that the Army of Club Penguin cannot beat the Rebel Penguin Federation in a one-on-one conflict. Soon, Trader called on the alliance between the Army of Club Penguin, Nacho Army, and Army Republic to give the Rebel Penguin Federation a fair fight.

Rebel Penguin Federation leader Chip announced he was going to have a discussion with the Nacho Army regarding why the latter is fighting against them. Nonetheless, the Rebel Penguin Federation successfully defended Parka from the Nacho Army later that day.

To allow soldiers to celebrate the holiday season, the Rebel Penguin Federation and Army of Club Penguin signed a ceasefire that would last through the Christmas period. This ceasefire did not affect the Nacho Army and Army Republic, so they would still be at conflict with the Rebel Penguin Federation. In a similar move, and for a similar reason, the Nacho Army ceased all current and future invasions of Rebel Penguin Federation territory until December 26.

Through a post on the Nacho Army website, Snickers accused the Rebel Penguin Federation of multilogging.

On December 23, the Army of Club Penguin declared victory in the battles of Cozy, Tea, and Beanbag, while the Rebel Penguin Federation also declared victory in them. Later that day, the Army of Club Penguin removed several invasions from their own website for unknown reasons.

The Rebel Penguin Federation went on to cancel their invasion of Ice Cage, claiming they did not mean to schedule it. Super Edwin, a leader of the Army of Club Penguin, claimed they did this due to the recent multilogging accusations that have been brought against them.

The Nacho Army uploaded a post to their website that suggested the Rebel Penguin Federation was multilogging.

The Nacho Army declared victory in the Battle of Crunch, while the Rebel Penguin Federation also did. That same day, the Rebel Penguin Federation successfully defended Sled from the Nacho Army.

The Nacho Army chat room was supposedly hacked, with rumors spreading around that claimed the Army of Club Penguin were behind it. Ryan restored the chat, and the Army of Club Penguin were cleared of all blame, supposedly after Trader's alleged multilog Elsa denied the claim the Army of Club Penguin had anything to do with the event. The Nacho Army would go on to blame former Nacho Army leader Camperjohn64 for the hacking.

Former Nacho Army leader Dan101 claimed a mass-banning of Nacho Army soldiers took place in the Army of Club Penguin chat room. Whether this took place has yet to be confirmed.

Ryan accused Rebel Penguin Federation leader Chip of trying to blackmail him. Chip responded that he was merely trying to ask him for a favor in regards to his army career at the time.

The Rebel Penguin Federation successfully invaded Snow Fort as the Army of Club Penguin were not present to defend. The army would go on to say that they were bot raided during the invasion, with the blame targeted toward Ryan.

The Rebel Penguin Federation declared victory in their invasion of Christmas. The Army of Club Penguin declared the victory invalid and asked the Rebel Penguin Federation to publish their website's revision history to prove there was a 24-hour notice from when the invasion was scheduled to when the battle began.

On December 24, the ceasefire between the Rebel Penguin Federation and the Army of Club Penguin began. The Nacho Army announced they will not be invading any Rebel Penguin Federation territory during this time.

Chip claimed that the war score was 8-1 in favor of the Rebel Penguin Federation. Later that day, he published a post on the Rebel Penguin Federation website calling the Nacho Army out for their post claiming the Rebel Penguin Federation was multilogging. Furthermore, Shiny went on to call out the Nacho Army for a similar reason.

Ryan was couped from his position within the Nacho Army and replaced by Dan101, a former leader of the army. Kevin, a former leader of the Nacho Army, said their war with the Rebel Penguin Federation, which was declared in the first place by Ryan, would continue.

From a post on the Doritos of Club Penguin website by leader Badboy, the Doritos of Club Penguin declared war on the Rebel Penguin Federation in what would be known as the Grinch War, a separate war from the Pain War. The Wiki officially finds this war to be the 2nd Pain War. This war was declared because the Doritos of Club Penguin were not fond of how the Army of Club Penguin, their brother ally, was being treated by the Rebel Penguin Federation.

Rebel Penguin Federation leader Elmikey stated his belief that the Nacho Army, Army Republic, and the Army of Club Penguin will surrender to allow the Rebel Penguin Federation to focus on the Grinch War. Possibly in response to this, Nacho Army second-in-command Verum announced that the only way their conflict with the Rebel Penguin Federation will end is through a surrender by the latter. In contradiction to this announcement, later that day, the Nacho Army backed out of the Pain War and exited the alliance they were in with the Army of Club Penguin and the Army Republic.

Owners of the Army of Club Penguin were unsure of the army's status in the war, and waited to hear from Super Edwin in regard to this.

For no discernable reason, Elmikey began mass-banning Club Penguin Army Central and Rebel Penguin Federation retirees presumably from the Rebel Penguin Federation chat room.

Conclusion

On December 26, 2016, the Pain War officially ended as the Army of Club Penguin and Army Republic joined the Grinch War in support of the Doritos of Club Penguin. The winner of the Pain War is disputed. The final variation of the war score was one win for the Army of Club Penguin-Nacho Army-Army Republic alliance and three wins for the Rebel Penguin Federation, with seven battles remaining contested.

Grinch War

Beginning

As previously mentioned above, on December 24, 2016, the Doritos of Club Penguin, partly due to their strong friendship with the Army of Club Penguin, declared war on the Rebel Penguin Federation in a separate conflict that would be known as the Grinch War.

Events

Not long after war was declared, Rebel Penguin Federation third-in-command Zott hopped to the Doritos of Club Penguin for a leadership position.

On December 25, 2016, Badboy revealed on the Doritos of Club Penguin website that the army offered a peace treaty with the Rebel Penguin Federation, but they ultimately declined it.

On December 26, Elmikey claimed that the Doritos of Club Penguin offered to overthrow Badboy if he agreed to end the Grinch War. The army denied the claim.

After the Pain Wars ended, the Army of Club Penguin and the Army Republic formed the Grinch Alliance alongside the Doritos of Club Penguin.

The Rebel Penguin Federation claimed success in their invasion of Deep Freeze from the Army of Club Penguin. Following a bot attack related to the event, the Army of Club Penguin declared the invasion invalid. Eventually, the Rebel Penguin Federation conceded the invasion was invalid.

The Doritos of Club Penguin would go on to successfully defend Deep Freeze from the Rebel Penguin Federation while using the Army of Club Penguin as resistance. Not long after, they would also successfully defend Summit from the Rebel Penguin Federation, during which the latter apparently did not show.

The Army of Club Penguin successfully invaded Sled from the Rebel Penguin Federation after they did not show up to defend. The Army Republic would go on to successfully invade Sabertooth from the Rebel Penguin Federation, who, like the few territory bouts leading up to this event, did not attend.

The Doritos of Club Penguin successfully defended Slushy from the Rebel Penguin Federation. The Rebel Penguin Federation would go on to contest the battle.

Badboy, providing video evidence, accused the Rebel Penguin Federation of nulling, which in this context is the act of bringing one or more guest Xat accounts into a chat room to make it look more populated. In response to this, they agreed that nulling took place, however they claimed it was the Doritos of Club Penguin who did it.

The Rebel Penguin Federation declared victory in the Battle of Tuxedo, meanwhile accusing the Doritos of Club Penguin of copying their tactics. The latter also declared victory in the battle.

Chip announced that the Rebel Penguin Federation would ignore the Army of Club Penguin and the Army Republic until a treaty between the Rebel Penguin Federation and Doritos of Club Penguin is signed. This would go on to allow the Army of Club Penguin and Army Republic to gain land without any defense, with the Army of Club Penguin scoring South Pole and Parka and the Army Republic gaining Snow Flake and Hot Chocolate.

On December 27, the Rebel Penguin Federation successfully invaded Canoe after the Army of Club Penguin surrendered during the battle.

Chip called the Army of Club Penguin weak and said the Rebel Penguin Federation has obliterated them thus far.

The Rebel Penguin Federation accused the Doritos of Club Penguin of copying tactics once again.

Badboy, presumably through a post on the Doritos of Club Penguin website, explained why the army deserve Tuxedo more than the Rebel Penguin Federation. This piece included an opinion statement from a Club Penguin Army Central Executive Producer.

Badboy posted more evidence of the Rebel Penguin Federation nulling in their chat.

The Rebel Penguin Federation declared victory in the Battle of Adventure. This battle would go on contested as the Doritos of Club Penguin also declared victory.

The Rebel Penguin Federation mass-banned several Club Penguin Army Central staff. The reason for this event is unknown.

On December 28, Badboy was removed from the leadership within the Doritos of Club Penguin. This decision was made after evidence showing him multilog came about. This decision was satisfactory to Lord Pain, who still served as Rebel Penguin Federation leader at the time.

Conclusion

Near the end of December, the Rebel Penguin Federation and Doritos of Club Penguin called a ceasefire, which ultimately brought the Grinch War to an end. According to the Club Penguin Army Central, the ceasefire was agreed to by 13yearoldn00b, a Doritos of Club Penguin leader who did not have permission from their fellow leaders to do so. The victor of the war, like the Pain War, is disputed. The final variation of the war score was eight wins for the alliance between the Doritos of Club Penguin, Army of Club Penguin, and the Army Republic, one win for the Rebel Penguin Federation, with three battles remaining contested.

Aftermath

A few days after the Grinch War, the second and final war of the Pain Wars, came to an end, the Nacho Army declared war on the Army Republic even though weeks before they fought alongside each other against the Rebel Penguin Federation. The reason for this declaration of war came after the Nacho Army leadership believed the Army Republic and Army of Club Penguin were attempting to, through talking with Nacho Army legend and former leader Puckley, coup the Nacho Army leadership.

As for the Pain Wars, on January 10, 2017, Lord Pain took to the Rebel Penguin Federation website and published a post declaring victory in the Pain Wars. This declaration was made as the Army of Club Penguin were effectively removed from the map by the Rebel Penguin Federation during the war. Although there remained no land for the Rebel Penguin Federation to invade from the Army of Club Penguin, the Rebel Penguin Federation looked to continue attacking the latter through a series of raids. As the Rebel Penguin Federation declared victory in the Pain Wars, the Army of Club Penguin continued to say that the invasions by the Rebel Penguin Federation were invalid due to no ground rules being made between the two armies, supposedly. Regardless, the Rebel Penguin Federation removed the Army of Club Penguin from the server map.

Ever since the Pain War and Grinch War took place, the Pain Wars and Lord Pain have been a part of meme culture within the army community and, in serious settings, the Pain Wars has been discussed and debated for its overall impact on the community.
